Angola!! Meio Amigo!!
A land full of contrasts! From the Namib Desert to the tropical forests around
Lubango. It offers a whole new and un-touched environment with people full of fun and laughter. We drive along the beach, one of a few places where this is still allowed. For the fisherman a trip of a lifetime!
This tour is for the true adventurer.

Day 1: Windhoek - Capricorn
After arriving at Hosea Kutako International Airport, 40km outside Windhoek, we will welcome you and take you to town. After a short sight seeing tour you get the chance to do some shopping and have a relaxing lunch while we finalise the last formalities of the tour. We depart via Okahandja for the Farm Capricorn, 40km north of Otjiwarongo. There you'll be met by the Kemp Family (your hosts in Namibia).
Here we will set up our camp for the first two nights. A beautiful sunset and warm Namibian Hospitality awaits you.
Day 2: Capricorn - Otjiwarongo - Capricorn
After a healthy late breakfast (Brunch) we visit one of our neighbour farms where we can view big cats, while feeding. From there we drive to Otjiwarongo to visit a crocodile farm. In town we can still do some shopping.
Back on Capricorn the last preparation for our trip to Angola will take place. For example packing of our food supplies, camping and recovery equipment and final check of all vehicles.
Day 3: Capricorn - Okaukuejo (Etosha National Park)
After a hearty breakfast we depart to Okaukuejo (Etosha National Park).We will have a game drive through the park and tonight you can enjoy seeing animals at the waterhole.
Day 4: Okaukuejo - Hobatere
We depart from Okaukuejo early morning. A drive to a least visited part of the pan brings us to a lodge on the eastern border, Hobatere. Here we take a quiet afternoon and enjoy a typical Namibian sunset.
Day 5: Hobatere - Ruacana (Border-Post between Angola and Namibia)
An early morning drive takes us towards Ruacana, where we will overnight on the banks of the Kunene, in sight of Angola.
Day 6: Ruacana - Chitado
Today we have a hearty breakfast and head to the border to start our cross-over into Angola. We do not drive far after the border towards Chitado.
Day 7: Chitado - Onconcua
From our wilderness campsite we embark towards Onconcua. We enjoy the countryside and the beautiful scenery and visit a Himba tribe on the Angolan side of the Kunene.
Day 8: Onconcua - Omahauha Lodge
From our overnight spot, again a drive that takes us west towards the Namib Desert and the setting sun in the west.
Tonight we will sleep at Omahauha Lodge.
Day 9: Omahauha Lodge - Espinheira
We keep on driving through the Welwitchias forest and entering lona Park in the Namib Desert. We overnight on the banks of the Kunene river, on the Angolan side of the Hartmann's Valley.
Day 10: Espinheira - Foz do Cunene
The Kunene mouth is a place where one can do a fair bit of fishing and the sand next to the ocean makes for spectacular sunsets. Here we start seeing the vast contrasts of this fair and unknown country.
Day 11: Foz do Cunene - Baia dos Tigres
Here we camp within the dunes and enjoy fishing, or weather permitted sun bathing. We will have some dune and beach driving. The scenery is breath taking and offers a lot to the
hobby as well as professional photographers. It used to be a peninsula, but the ocean took quite a bit of land, and now we have a lagoon area.
Day 12: Baia dos Tigres - Namibe / Flamingo
We overnight in a lodge on the beach. Fresh fish and other ocean delicacies are on the plate tonight.
Day 13: Namibe / Flamingo - Lubango
Leaving the coast as we pass through Namibe, we drive towards Lubango. On the way we see how the landscape changes from desert to tropical. Before Lubango we drive up the Leba Pass, designed and build late 60's and early 70's.
We overnight two nights in a Lodge in Lubango.
Day 14: Lubango
Most of the day is spend on sightseeing, driving up to Tundra-Valla, Humpata and a lot more from this old Portuguese city is looked at.
Day 15: Lubango - Xanxongo
Depending on how far this road has been tarred we start out early to cover as much ground as possible, towards Namibia.
Day 16: Xanxongo - Oshikango (Crossing the border) - Oshakati
Crossing over the border we drive to Oshakati for our overnight at a lodge in the heart of Wamboland. We encounter Africa as most people see it. More than 60% of Namibia lives in this region.
Tonight we have a relaxing dinner around the pool and discuss our Angolan Tour.
Day 17: Oshakati - Ombili/Game farm close to Oshivelo
After breakfast we visit a traditional market in Oshakati and do a slow drive south towards Oshivelo and Ombili. Here we visit a project for the Bushman and set up our camp for the night.
Day 18: Ombili - Capricorn
Today we head out for the farm Capricorn via Tsumeb. We visit the museum in Tsumeb, on the way there to we make a quick break at Lake Otjikoto. Lunch will be at a Namibian Restaurant. We arrive in the afternoon on the Farm Capricorn to put up camp for the last time.
Day 19: Capricorn
This day is spend at leisure on the farm.
Day 20: Capricorn - Windhoek
We depart early morning to reach Windhoek at lunch time. After giving back all rented equipment the day can be spend shopping at the traditional craft markets in
Windhoek. Visiting the Christus Church, Alte Feste, Tintenpalast etc. For dinner we sit down in a comfortable setting and review the time being spent on the tour.
Day 21: .....Your next destination!!!!
